My day has been a bit weird. I got up very early to tidy up, as the local council were coming to check things, in preparation for installing new heating and a new kitchen. My bedroom needed lots of attention and took most of the morning and guess which was the only room they didn’t go into?
This afternoon, Arsenal decided to sell Patrick Vieira to Juventus for €20m. That’s €10m less than Real Madrid offered last year. The crazy thing is, the transfer seems to have been instigated by the club less than 12 months after fighting tooth and nail to keep him. Everyone seems quite happy to have done the deal, so I can only guess that it was all agreed last year. Vieira agreed to give Arsenal another go and, in return, he was promised that if a big club made a suitable offer they wouldn’t stand in his way.
It’s the only thing that makes sense to me.
